YOUR MANSION RESERVED AND YOUR SOUL PRESERVED
1 Peter 1:3-5 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith . . .”
Psalm 121:7 “The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.”
1Thessalonians 5:23-24 “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
Focus: God assures us of His Faithfulness, the Power of His Sanctifying Love, and the guaranteed Heavenly Rewards which He has for us.
Our God is indeed a Marvellous GOD. His Wisdom is AWESOME; His Plan for our Salvation is thorough and perfect; the possibility of failure DOES NOT EXIST!!! In our first verse, God tells us that because of His Abundant Mercy, He has Reserved an inheritance in Heaven for us. He goes on to say that He will KEEP us by His Power. This ‘KEEPING’ is further explained in the second verse, where He states that He will preserve our Souls. God wants us to Know, Understand, and Believe that He is Keeping a Mansion in His Holy Kingdom for us, therefore He is maintaining our Holiness. Oh, what Love!!! Oh, what Faithfulness!!!
God has Caringly, Carefully, and Completely made ALL provision for our salvation, because He wants us to be Confident IN Him, and Comfortable WITH Him. Even as He is preparing Heavenly Homes FOR us, He is at the same time preparing Heavenly Hearts and Holy Minds IN us. Our God has revealed what He is doing to keep us Holy; He leads us daily in the Path of Righteousness. In 2 Peter 2:9, He says He Knows how to deliver us from Temptation, and in 1 Corinthians 10:13, He has Faithfully Promised that He will NOT allow us to be Tempted above what we are able, but with the temptation He will also make the way of escape, so that we may be able to bear it. God will Convict, Correct, and Chasten us, but He does not condemn. He has also Tenderly Promised that if we sin, He will reason with us and lead us to repentance (Isaiah 1:18, Romans 2:4). We will then be Lovingly Forgiven (1 John 1:9).
We are God’s precious beloved Children, and He is eagerly looking forward to having us enter His Heavenly Kingdom. In the third verse for today, we are told that God is Faithful. His Faithfulness is our assurance of Salvation. God is willing to do whatever it takes to keep us true to Him to the end. He will complete the Good Sanctifying Work which He began in us. God is indeed fully ABLE to preserve us BLAMELESS, and present us FAULTLESS before His Throne, with exceeding Joy. Since our God has done all that is necessary to save us, we only need to give THANKS and REJOICE, as we look forward to entering our Mansions which He has Graciously Reserved for us.
