UNDIMMED FAITH IN THE ALL POWERFUL GOD

Mark 4:36-40
“And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith?”
Focus: Our Faith and Hope in GOD, must remain bright and steadfast, even in the darkest seasons of life.
The greatest longing in God’s Heart, is for His children to CONTINUALLY BELIEVE that He is Who He says He is. He is GOD, the ONLY GOD. Therefore, since He is God, He is always present and He always loves us. God always knows what is needed, and He always has all power to get it done. He always has the wisdom to do whatever needs to be done at the right time. Furthermore, God knew and still knows all the things that would happen to you, and what He was going to do about them, even before He created this world. Oh, what a GOD!
This is Who God is, and all He wants us to do is to continually believe ALL that He has revealed to us about Himself. He wants us to love and trust Him completely every moment of every day, because He knows the great benefits we will receive when we do this. We would always live hopeful and fearless lives.
The Bible verses for today will help us to understand the Mind of God a little better. We are told that one night the disciples found themselves in a great windstorm at sea, in a little ship. The storm was so intense, that the ship became full of water. It was DARK, and they seemed to be facing certain DEATH in the DEEP sea, so their faith in God became DIM.
Jesus, who is both God and man at the same time, was in that ship. This same Jesus is in the ‘ship’ of your life today and always.
The LITTLE ship was full of water, but even more so it was FULL of a BIG GOD, so there was no need for FEAR. Likewise, if the ‘little ship’ of your life is filled with ‘troubled waters’ REMEMBER, that you also have a BIG GOD on board, and He says to you, “FEAR NOT!”
Jesus is the LIGHT of the world; therefore, the disciples need not have been afraid of the dark. Jesus is the LIGHT of your world; therefore, you need not be afraid when dark situations occur in your life.
God does not sleep; meaning, He is always completely aware of all things even before they happen, so since Jesus is God, there was nothing to fear. You need not fear either.
Since Jesus is God, even though He was comfortably asleep, He was still in complete control of the circumstance at all times. Therefore, you must know, believe, and continually remember, that God is in complete control of all your circumstances.
The disciples suddenly remembered that Jesus was in the ship, so they went to Him and said, “Master, carest thou not that we perish?” He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, “Peace, be still.” Instantly the winds and the waves became calm, because nature knows the Voice of its Creator. That same Voice, still has all power, and is therefore well able to calm all the storms in your life.
After calming the storm, Jesus asked His disciples two questions. “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” Jesus was deeply concerned that they had not fully accepted the fact that He was and is, God. As God, He is the Source of all Good things, and therefore the Solution to all things. Jesus wanted the disciples to understand and believe that since they always had the ‘Solution’ with them, they actually could never have an unsolvable problem. Jesus is God, therefore; where Problems abound, SOLUTIONS MUCH, MUCH, MUCH, MORE ABOUND.
God wants us to know, understand, and believe, that He may sometimes allow our circumstances to change from good to bad; or even from bad to worse, but He will not change. Since GOD is changeless, no matter what happens our FAITH in Him must not change either, especially because He has PROMISED that all things will work together for our good. He will ALWAYS be our Wise, Loving, all Powerful, Helpful, God and Father, in every situation which He will allow us to go through. TODAY, with these precious words, let God build your Faith, in Him and in His Love for you.
