THE PLEASURE AND POWER OF GOD’S VOICE

John 10:4-5

“When he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow

him, for they know his voice.

Yet they will by no means follow a

stranger, but will flee from him, for

they do not know the voice of strangers.”

John 10:27 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”

Focus:  GOD is very pleased when we listen to and

obey His Voice.

In the Bible, God often refers to us as sheep, so that we can understand His tender

care and provision for us, even as a good shepherd looks after his sheep.  However, as Christians we are really sons and daughters of God.  He is a wonderful Father who gives us instructions in His Word, and then lovingly encourages us to follow them.

As we daily read His Word, we become aware of God’s sweet Voice speaking to us in our

minds, and we get to know Him and love Him more and more as we experience His Power

in our lives.   We take pleasure in obeying Him, as we begin to understand the DANGER of following the voice of the devil.  We do not want to follow the stranger, we want to follow the Saviour, because He always wants the best for us.

God wants us to freely enjoy our existence in this world; therefore He wants us to

FLEE from all suggestions that the devil may bring to us.  When you daily choose to heed God’s Voice, you are guaranteed a satisfying and fulfilled life.  Trust His Voice, prove His promises.  You will truly reap rich rewards.

Today, I bid you to choose to swiftly surrender to the sweet sincere Voice of God.
