THE NEARNES AND DEARNES OF OUR PRECIOUS ADORABLE GOD

Deuteronomy 4:7 “For what nation is there so great, who has God so near to them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon Him for?”

Isaiah 49:15-16 “Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?  Yes, they may forget, yet will I not forget you.  Behold, I have graven you upon the Palms of My Hands . . .”

Focus: God’s extreme nearness, commitment, and dedication to us, His beloved children.

God delights to express and convict us of His Love, so that we can feel comfortable and confident, in our relationship with Him.  In the first verse we are informed of God’s extreme closeness to us.  God reveals that He is not just near, but so near to us, at all times.  His ‘so nearness’ gives Him unlimited opportunities to embrace us in His Bosom, so that He can intimately reveal Himself, and also His Love.   Through His ‘so nearness’, God proves to us that He cannot miss our calls, since His closeness puts Him in a position to carefully listen to the words of our mouth, and even the unspoken words in our hearts.

God has chosen to be so near, because He wants to convince us that He fully knows all of our sorrows, joys, hopes, longings, dreams, wants, needs, and desires.  He goes on to explain the benefits of His nearness, by telling us that He hears all the things that we call on Him for.  These words give us wonderful assurance that God is interested in all of our affairs, and He is very eager to give us Divine Assistance. God is truly a Wonderful, Thoughtful, and Considerate Being.  He wants us to have the Peace of knowing that He is very, very near, to swiftly hear, care, share, and bear all of our concerns, and drive away all of our fears.

God has told us about His ‘so nearness’ because He wants us to know and understand that even before we call on Him about a matter, He already knows about it.  His ‘so nearness’ gives Him ADVANCE AWARENESS, which makes Him constantly available to act on our behalf.  God is so near, that He has the Solution, before the Situation arises.  Since He is so near to us before the Problem arrives, He already knows if to Permit or Prevent it from occurring.   God’s ‘so nearness’ gives Him clear vision to see that this PARTICULAR PROBLEM will draw us to believe His PRECIOUS PROMISES, and PRAYERFULLY PERSUE His PERFECTING PURPOSES. Through His ‘so nearness’ He will cause us to see and choose to agree with whatever He allows.

In the second verse, God further explains His closeness to us by using the tender mother and child relationship.  He says that she may forget her child, but He will never forget His children.  God’s ‘so nearness’ is a demonstration of His Dedication, and Compassionate Nature.  God goes on to explain what He has done to keep Himself in constant remembrance of us.  He says that He has graven us upon the Palms of His Hands.  The word graven, means to cut in, to inscribe, mark, trace, or portray.  To cut in means to tattoo.  So to help us to understand His love and closeness to us, He says that He has tattooed a portrait (picture) of us on the Palms of both of His Hands.

God has clearly explained and fully reassured us of His Love, Commitment, and tender Care.  Truly, we are very, very Precious to Him.  He wants to be Special and Precious to us too.  Let us appreciate, and adore our WONDERFUL GOD, for all He has done for us.
