POWER; THE PERFORMANCE OF GOD IN YOU!
2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of Power and of love and of a sound mind.”
Psalm 57:2 “I will cry out to God Most High, to God who performs all things for me.”
John 14:16-17 “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.”
Focus: The daily experience of God’s Divine Performance in every area of our lives.
We serve an amazing God, who has Personally made every provision, for us to have the more abundant life which He promised in John 10:10. The first verse for today tells us, that God has given us Power, Love, and a Sound Mind. Since He has given us these things, He wants them to be visible and real in every area of our lives, moment-by-moment. However, He knows that without Him we can do nothing (John 15:5). Therefore, He gives us further information about the Divine Function of His Power, Love, and a Sound Mind in our daily experience.
This information is found in our second verse, which states that GOD HIMSELF, will PERFORM ALL THESE THINGS for us. We truly have a Wonderful Loving God, who has made Himself available, to guarantee that we have all that we need to maintain a life of godliness. As a Loving Father, God is Personally involved in everything we Think, Say, and Do, because He wants the BEST for us. God has not left us to wonder how He will Perform ALL these things for us. He gives us the Precious News in our third verse of the day.
God Says that He will give us a Divine Helper; in the Person of the Holy Spirit. He said that the Helper would be WITH us, and IN us. God Performs for us through the Holy Spirit. Since the Holy Spirit is WITH us and IN us He is FULLY ABLE to PERFORM FOR us. The Bible gives us many examples of this Practical Blessing. We are told that God is our Confidence (Proverbs. 3:26). He is our Strength (Exodus 15:2). He will keep us with His Peace and Joy (Philippians 4:7, Nehemiah 8:10). He has also given us the Mind of Christ to Perform in us (1 Corinthians 2:16).
God wants to DEMONSTRATE to the World the Beauty of His Principles, lived out practically through the Power of His Holy Spirit within us. Our God has given us a Divine INNER PERSON, to PERFORM in us and with us. The Holy Spirit Performs for us by guiding us from within; as we read the Bible, and when we Pray. He also prompts us through our thoughts by bringing things to our memory, or giving us ideas, and suggestions. The Holy Spirit Performs for us by leading us to make right choices, and encouraging us to resist, reject, and refuse the suggestions of the Devil. The Holy Spirit Performs for us by inspiring us to have splendid desires to progress and excel in whatever we do, so that we enjoy His Creativity expressed in the beautiful way we dress, organize our homes, or gardens. Truly the Holy Spirit is a Wonderful Performer. Let us Delight in Him as He PERFORMS IN US, for His Glory, and our eternal benefit.
