INVITATION TO KNOW GOD

Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”
John 17:3 “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
Focus: Getting to Know, Understand, Love, and Appreciate God as Father and Friend through Fellowship, at which time He will personally Favour us with wonderful Revelations of Himself.
An Invitation is a very revealing document, since it can indicate your significance in another person’s life. When you are invited to someone’s home, or wedding, it is usually because you are an important part of the person’s life, and your presence is treasured. When an invitation is received, it makes that person feel special, cherished and valued.
GOD has invited us to know Him, because He treasures our presence before Him. He wants us to know that we are Special, Cherished, and Valued. He loves us as the Apple of His Eye. (Zechariah 2:8) God longs to be INTIMATELY known by all of His children, and He has made abundant provision for this in His Word, the Bible. He has invited us to “Call on Him”, and He has Promised that He will Personally answer us, and show us great and mighty things. Some things about Himself will always remain Personal, but everything else He will gladly reveal in the fullness of time.
The Greatest and Mightiest Being in this World is God, and it is His Greatest PLEASURE and DELIGHT, to give us a daily ‘Show and Tell’ experience, so that we can get to know and understand Him, more and more. The more we get to know Him, the better we will serve Him, because we will be Calm, Comfortable and Confident in this wonderful fellowship. God wants us to fully Experience, Embrace, and Enjoy, our relationship with Him as our Father, Jesus as our Big Brother, and the Holy Spirit as our Coach. He never ever leaves us; therefore, He wants us to be continually aware of His Holy, Lovingly Presence. In fact, God can carry-on a most interesting conversation with you, while you are at your ‘smelliest’, seated on the toilet.
God wants us to know that He loves to sing, and He enjoys singing to His children; you and me. (Zephaniah 3:17) When a song comes into your mind, that is God’s way of saying, “Come, let us sing together.” He wants us to know that He is a Good Father, and as such He Personally wakes us every morning and says, “I Love you, come and walk through this day with Me.” (Job 7:17-18, Micah 6:8) As He walks with us He tells us what to do, and sometimes He will share the reason why it should be done that way. There are times when He will share with us, certain things that are on His Mind; something about a person or a situation, because He wants to involve us in assisting Him to resolve the matter, or meet the need.
God delights to give us knowledge of Himself through activities from the Bible, and in these modern times. We learn about God the Father, through the activities of Jesus when He was on earth. Jesus was Compassionate to families, as He healed their sick, and restored life to their dead. He took time to play with the children; He accepted invitations to dinner. Jesus loved to spend time with His friends in their homes or on the beach. He even cooked a meal for His disciples, and He wants us to know that whatever He did, God our Father would do the same for us. (John 14:8-11).
God enjoys participating in ALL of our activities, whether it is showering, washing the car, preparing a meal, talking to a friend, travelling to work, or whatever it may be. He wants us to know that He feels very special, when we introduce Him to our friends and loved ones. He is SUPER DELIGHTED, when we ask His opinion before making any decision, because He knows the DIVINE OUTCOME that He has ALREADY planned for us, and He does not want us to miss a Blessing. Therefore, God wants us to Know His Voice, so that we can receive clear Guidance to make the right Choice.
God wants us to know, that nothing we do can ever separate Him from loving us. When we sin, He will Chastise and Correct us, but He will not Criticize or Condemn us. He wants us to know that He is a God of Great Compassion, Consideration, and Mercy, who forgives and Covers our sins, and inspires us to Conquer temptation. He does these wonderful things because He wants to make us ready for His soon return. Best of all, He wants us to know, that He is EAGERLY looking forward to welcoming us Face to face, into His Heavenly Kingdom.
