GOD IS YOUR TREASURE

Isaiah 55:6 “Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.” Jeremiah 29:13 “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” Focus: The experience of knowing God, and treasuring each moment with Him. GOD invites us to seek Him while He may be found. He also tells us how to seek Him. He says that we must search for Him with all our hearts. Furthermore, God guarantees that if we should seek Him according to His directions, we will most certainly find Him. These words give us super-natural motivation, excitement, and continual determination to seek after God as we would seek for hidden treasure. It is, as if God has set up a treasure-hunt for us, and the treasure to be found is He, Himself! The Bible is our ‘treasure map.’ Within its pages God gives us instructions and clues. He gives us the Holy Spirit to be our Guide on this ‘Divine Treasure Hunt.’ The Holy Spirit gives us revelation and confirmation, so that we will know when we are on the right path to finding God. In the fullness of time, the Holy Spirit introduces us to God, and we get to know, love, and enjoy Him through prayer and fellowship, as we daily study His word. The most wonderful thing about this ‘Divine Treasure Hunt’ is that it never ends, because there is something new to find out about God every moment. Indeed GOD is our eternal ‘Treasure’, and guess what; He is eagerly waiting and longing to be found by YOU!
