CONTENTED WITH GOD’S LOVE ALONE
Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”
Isaiah 55:11 “So shall My word be that goes forth from My Mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
Philippians 4:11 “Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.”
Focus: Total satisfaction with God will keep us TRUSTING in His Love for us at all times.
In our first verse, God has given us an extremely POWERFUL PROMISE. He said, “He will keep us in Perfect Peace, if we stay our minds on Him, because we trust Him” This wonderful Promise is the KEY to overcoming ALL Dread, Doubt, Distress, Disappointment, Discouragement, and Depression. Since God cannot lie, this Precious Promise is fully guaranteed. (Titus 1:2) Furthermore, God PROCLAIMS in our second verse, that His Word cannot fail; it shall accomplish what Pleases Him, and Prosperously Perform to fulfill His Purpose that He sent it for.
God has a very special reason for asking us to ‘stay our minds’ on Him. The Bible says that God is Love. (1 John 4:8) Therefore, when God asks us to stay our minds on Him, He is asking us to stay our minds on LOVE. Since He is LOVE, He wants us to ‘stay our minds’ on the fact the He (LOVE), Loves us. God wants us to ‘stay our minds’ on the FIXED FACT of His Love for us, NOT on our FLUCTUATING FEELINGS about Him. When things are going well, we believe that God Loves us, and at other times when there are difficulties that we cannot understand, we doubt His Love.
God wants us to see the GREAT DANGER of allowing ourselves to become distracted from focusing on His Love. This distraction causes us to become discouraged, by drawing us to focus on our problems. We give in to TEMPTATION and focus on our CARES, when we should be focusing on the TRUTH that God CARES. The Bible says, “You shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free. (John 8:32) God wants to Deliver us SWIFTLY, from focusing on our feelings, by daily drawing us to focus on the Fact of His Feelings written in His Word. He wants us to see, know, and understand, that staying focused on the Truth of His Love, will cause us to Triumph over Temptation in Times of Trouble, Trials, and Testing.
God wants us to REST in His Expressions and Explanations of His Unchanging Love for us, which He has written in His Word. He wants us to stay focused on the UNCHANGING PROOF of His PRESENCE, POWER, PROMISES, and PAST PERFORMANCES in our daily lives. God wants us to truly experience His Divine Peace and Contentment at ALL times. The POWER of CONTENTMENT is the Gift that GOD is freely offering to all men today. To receive this Gift, God Himself, will draw us to Believe in Him and His Unchanging Love for us. He will draw us to Believe in His Word, and His Wisdom. He will draw us to delight in His Will and His Ways of Working out things for us. God will increase our FAITH to BELIEVE and stay focused on the fact, that ALL things ALWAYS indeed work together for our good, because our LOVING GOD TRULY CARES. (Romans 8:28)
