COME! SEE A MAN
John 4:16-18 “Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.” The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’ for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly.” John 4:28- 29 “ . . .The woman then left her water pot, and went her way into the city, and said to the men, "Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?” Focus: God’s Unlimited Love, and Unconditional ACCEPTANCE of us all. The BIBLE is the most precious, most marvellous Book in the World. In its pages God gives revelations and expressions of His feelings toward mankind, straight from His very Heart and Mind. He has done this so that all of us can read, know, and understand just how much He truly, truly, truly, truly LOVES us. God’s greatest desire is for all people everywhere, to know and believe that they are very, very, very, very, special and important to Him. These verses will give us a great DEMONSTRATION of God’s ways and workings as He interacts with us. A Samaritan woman had an encounter with Jesus at a well. At the end of her discourse with Him, she left her water pot, and ran back to the city, shouting, “Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?” This Man was no ordinary Man. This Man was the God-Man. He was, is, and forever will be Jesus the Christ. This woman met Jesus at the well. Jesus knew everything about her reputation and inappropriate lifestyle, yet at no time did He condemn her. His tone of Voice, choice of words, and His Body language expressed compassion and total acceptance of her as a person, while at the same time not condoning her actions. Oh! What LOVE. We are told one of the things that she had done. She had five husbands before, and the one she was presently with was not her own. God knows everything about us; every Thought, every Word, and every Deed that we have done, or will ever do. He does not condemn us; He only wants to correct us by connecting us with His perfect will and ways. God does not discard us because of our negative behavior. He works with us to create the beauty of positive development. This woman was able to share her wonderful experience of being accepted, and treated with dignity and respect by this Man, the God-Man, even though she was a social outcast. Today, whoever you are, wherever you are, whatever you may have done or are still doing, God wants you to know that you are His most SPECIAL, PRECIOUS, IMPORTANT, UNIQUE, BELOVED Child. He is even now, inviting you to COME to Him and SEE all that He is ready, willing, and able to do for you, so that you can have a Beautiful, Successful and Healthy life. So, once again, I bid you Come! See a Man. Come, see the God-Man, even the Christ.
